My mission is to provide healing opportunities for both horses and humans in a serene and nurturing environment.
To achieve this, I provide alternative and complimentary therapies for equines (and other animals) and also offer equine assisted learning sessions and workshops for their human counterparts.

After teaching middle school for almost 10 years, I found myself inspired by holistic health, particularly massage therapy. My husband and I started Heiwa Center, a holistic health and wellness clinic, about 20 years ago and have been have been practicing massage therapy and other complimentary therapies since. My love for teaching and massage therapy were combined for a time as I worked as a massage therapy instructor at Stark State College. Along with teaching and practicing as a licensed massage therapist, I have also obtained certification as a reiki master and craniosacral therapist. As my practice has grown, my holistic studies have extended to include horses and other animals. My love of horses helped me earn additional certification in equine craniosacral therapy, and I am earning my certification in trauma-informed equine assisted services through the Natural Lifemanship Institute. I provide individual reiki and craniosacral therapy sessions for horses and other animals, often combining treatment modalities to obtain the best results. I also teach workshops on reiki and topics related to trauma-informed equine assisted learning. These workshops focus on connection and relationship, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation. I believe that through connection we heal, and this includes reconnecting to ourselves as well as others.
